Just under four months before his disappearance, Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi spoke with Global News on June 5, 2018, the same day Saudi Arabia began issuing drivers licenses to women.

In this exclusive interview, Khashoggi spoke about the Saudi crown prince's reluctance to loosen his grip on individual freedoms and addressed his own security, detailing fears of what would have happened to him if he had not fled the country - representing an eerie foreshadowing to his death inside the Saudi consulate in Turkey on Oct. 2, 2018.
